ImPAct Conference - Save the Date
Mark your calendars for September 12-14, for the 2008 Pennsylvania Young Professionals ImPAct Conference. The conference committee has been working over the past six months to create a comprehensive program and event schedule for the weekend.
The conference activities will give you an opportunity to network with young professionals from across Pennsylvania, learn about innovative ways to improve your personal and professional careers, and Make an ImPAct in your communities.
ImPAct Registrations Now Open
Registrations for the 2008 ImPAct Conference are now being accepted. Register for the Conference by clicking here to access the 2008 ImPAct Conference website.
Early registrations before August 15th will be $149.00. Registrations processed after the 15th will cost $179.00.
When you register, you’ll have access to the following events;
Invitation to Friday Night's Kickoff Reception.
The cocktail reception will feature live music at the Convention Center's Sunset Terrace, wine tasting from local wineries, and opportunities to network with young professionals from throughout Pennsylvania.
Access to Saturday's educational and informational sessions.
The program includes presentations from organizations from across the state and the country. The preliminary event schedule can be found here. The Conference committee is working to confirm additional sessions and keynote speakers. Updates to the schedule will be sent to attendees as details become available. Attendees also will be served breakfast and lunch during the Saturday program.
Discounts at Saturday Evening Activities.
The Conference committee is working to schedule several activities for Saturday evening including discount tickets to JR's Last Laugh Comedy Club, tours of local facilities, and dining at local restaurants and pubs.
Sunday Morning Tour and Closing Events.
The ImPAct Conference will conduct a tour of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center and Presque Isle State Park before Sunday's closing remarks. Attendees will be shuttled from the Convention Center to TREC for the final day of the Conference.
Conference Hotel Information
The 2008 Conference will be held at Erie's new Bayfront Convention Center. The committee has also partnered with the Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel - located next to the Convention Center - to reserve a block of rooms.
Conference attendees can reserve rooms for the weekend by calling the Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel at (814) 454-2005. Room rates of $149.00 per night have been secured and will be extended to ImPAct visitors. More information about the host hotel can be viewed here.

Do you work for a business or an organization that supports young professionals? Go Green - Save Gas - Have Fun - Ride the Bus
Will your YP Group be bringing several individuals to the 2008 ImPAct Conference? If so, please contact Conference co-chair Matt Wiertel. VisitErie - Erie's Tourism and Convention Agency - has partnered with the 2008 ImPAct Conference to provide reduced pricing on transportation to Erie. In order to fully utilize this opportunity, we are investigating several options for transportation including chartering a bus to stop at several locations before arriving in Erie.

ImPAct Road Tour - Coming to a YP Group Near You
To build awareness for the Conference and increase attendance for the event, the Conference committee is developing several ImPAct Road Tour stops across the Commonwealth. With the assistance of local YP groups, our goal is to create informational sessions to encourage you and your members to attend the 2008 Conference. If your group has an upcoming event that we can attend or would like to host a new event, please contact Matt Wiertel or Rebecca Styn.
