ImPAct Conference - One Week Away!

ImPAct Conference - One Week Away!

The September 12th - 14th ImPAct Conference is one week away. Since Young Erie Professionals is the host committee for the Conference, we are extending a last minute promotion to all yep! members. Yep! members who register before the end of today will receive a Conference Ticket for $50 (Half off the Standard Rate!) After today, the Conference ticket will return to the standard $100 price. For members who registered early, the committee will submit a credit to you for the $50 price change.

The Steering Committee, ImPAct Conference Committee, and yep! Board of Directors have been working over the last year to develop a Conference that will showcase Erie. The support of our sponsors has allowed us to keep the price of the Conference extremely affordable and we hope to see a large group of yep! members in attendance. If you have any questions about the Conference, please contact Matt Wiertel or Rebecca Styn.

To receive the discounted rate, enter discount code YEP when registering.

The Conference committee has secured a special guest for Friday night's kickoff reception at the ImPAct Conference. The U.S. Brig Niagara will be docked next to the Convention Center during the reception and will be open for tours. If you have not toured the Brig in some time - or it is still on your bucket list of Erie attractions to visit - be sure to attend the Friday night activities for the ImPAct Conference. Individuals can register for the reception only if they cannot attend the entire Conference. Tickets for the reception are $20 and can be purchased at www.impacterie2008.com.

ImPAct Program Finalized – Why you (and your friends) should register

Looking for a few reasons to attend the ImPAct Conference? Trying to convince your boss to pay for your Conference ticket? Here are a few reasons why you should attend the 2008 ImPAct Conference.

  1. Erie is a great place to attend a Conference – check out our video about the venues and destinations in Erie – and look at the schedule of events and sessions that we have developed.
  2. Our keynote speaker Steven S. Little is an expert in small business and organizational growth. If your organization is planning to expand – or you are starting a company with your former college classmates – he can provide you with insights on building a successful company.
  3. The ImPAct Conference is a great way to increase your social network – and learn how to more effectively network – by attending our morning keynote by Krista Canfield from LinkedIN.
  4. If you are trying to become more active at work – or in your community – ImPAct is the only Conference where you will learn strategies to help you grow professionally, personally, and in the community.
  5. Your weekend Conference ticket includes activities on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Attend a wine/beer tasting networking event (while enjoying some great live music) on Friday; participate in a great program of speakers and informational sessions on Saturday; and enjoy another fun networking happy hour and Comedian Jimmy Carroll, who has worked with the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Jeff Foxworthy, and more (www.jimmycarroll.net). If that’s not enough, hop on the chauffeured trolley to explore Downtown Erie and all the great restaurants and bars within walking distance on Saturday night. And, top off the weekend with a trip to Presque Isle State Park and the Tom Ridge Environmental Center on Sunday! (Did you know that Presque Isle attracted an estimated 4 million visitors last year alone?)
